She asked me to photograph her. As I clicked into my camera, she grew timid, placed her hands on her lips as if she was grasping for air. I wasn’t expecting that reaction from a woman of her age. It goes to show that there’s a little girl in all of us. Nevertheless, she is an ageless beauty.

A few months ago, I met two queens at the farmers market in Saint-Marc, Haiti. They managed to stop time with their smile.

The train project is an ongoing body of speculative investigation into the language and aesthetics of transport culture by artists HeHe. They propose personal rail travel as a temporary, imaginary solution to question our industrialised conscience in relation to locomotion.
